Restrike Studios was conceived
as a recording studio that
could be accessible to any band.
Owner and engineer Cormac Donnelly spent the best part of
a year collecting equipment, wangling finances and viewing properties in search of the right home for the studio. Finally securing a premises north of Manchester he then spent 2 months kitting out the studio (admittedly with a lot of help). Restrike Studios officially opened it's doors for business on 1 November 2006.
The studio is a balance between old and new technologies; a Pro Tools system deals with the digital recording duties whilst a DDA DMR 12 mixing desk coupled with an Otari 2" 24 track tape machine offers the best soloution in analogue recording. The studio is also set up to be able to offer bands space to work and relax in, featuring a large control room, separate chill out room and a massive live room (over 500 sq feet of floor space) making it ideal for recording longer projects.
Owner / Engineer Cormac Donnelly has been playing music for most of his life and has been working as a freelance engineer recording bands for the last 6 years. He has attended the School of Sound Recording in Manchester where he gained a distinction on their flagship course in Audio Engineering Techniques and Technology.
